PT Svara Research Indonesia (Svara Institute), formerly PT Rumah Riset Presisi Indonesia, was established in Jakarta on January 28, 2014 and rebranded on March 22, 2022. The firm conducts research and provides consultancy services to government institutions and the private sectors on economics, business, and management issues.

OUR TEAM
We have experts and researchers in various economics fields, a mix of economists, business consultants and engineer which are beneficial for our wide-ranging policy studies. They are very capable in formulating complex analytical framework and implementing sophisticated and comprehensive methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative. Included in the methods are primary and secondary data collection; formulation, distribution and collection of questionnaires; literature review (including surveying rules and regulations); direct interview; focus group discussion; expert and stakeholder review; econometric and statistical analysis; and other quantitative analytical tools. Apart from our internal pool of experts and researchers, we can also draw experts from our worldwide research networks.

Risa is Founder and Senior Researcher of Svara Research Institute, a senior lecturer, and a trainer for corporate strategy in large corporations. Prior to becoming a researcher and a lecturer, Risa has more than 23 years of professional experience, including senior leadership positions in various organizations such as Unilever Indonesia, Ericsson Indonesia, Danamon Foundation, Partnership for Indonesian Governance Reform, Indonesian Telecommunications Society, and Indonesian Synthetic Fiber Makers Association.
Risa holds a BA in Economics from the University of Indonesia (1992); an MBA from the Australian National University (1998); an MIPP in International Policy from the George Washington University (2006), and a Ph.D in Management from the Australian National University (2015). She has published her studies in sustainability, corporate social responsibility and gender reputable international and national journals.

Widdi is a founder and senior economist at Svara Institute. Currently, she involves in some research on social protection, labour market, human capital, and urban amenities. Previously, she has led several assignments with UNDP Indonesia, Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), APEC Secretariat in Singapore, and Digital Pathways Oxford University in the UK in the fields of trade, and investment, competitiveness, human capital, gender, and social protection.
She has some publications in international trade, labour and human capital areas, such as Digital Skill and Literacy Toolkit for G20 Countries, Employment Dynamic in Indonesia and ASEAN, and Women Empowerment and Structural Reform in APEC economies. She received her PhD in Economics from Cardiff University - The United Kingdom in 2020, her PhD dissertation entitled "The Return to Education and Education Mismatch in Indonesia".

Erica is a Founder and Senior Researcher at Svara Institute. She received her Master of Business and Administration (MBA) degree from INSEAD, France. She has been working in a range of research topics with Svara Institute, including the impact of National Medium-Term Development Plan 2015-2019 in human capital sector, market research of a new property concept in Jakarta, and Indonesia investment outlook. Her personal interests are social impact entrepreneurship and early childhood education through play and literacy.
Before joining Svara Institute, Erica worked at Principia Management Group, the operation arm of Quvat Management, one of the early and biggest private equity firm focusing on investment in South East Asia, specifically Indonesia. As an associate at Principia, Erica oversaw portfolio companies in property and entertainment sector, led operational improvement and financial restructuring initiatives to increase value of the portfolio companies, as well as formulated commercial and legal structure for potential deal and partnership. Erica honed her business and management acumen from working at various roles in Unilever Indonesia, covering sales operations, modern trade channel development, and strategic assistance to VP Customer Development.

Made Suardhini, a founder and currently senior researcher at Svara Institute. Formerly, she was a senior investment analyst for more than ten years in several financial institutions namely BNP Paribas IP, PT. CLSA Indonesia, PT. Mandiri Sekuritas, PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk., and so on.
Currently, she took part in conducting research about Indonesia export acceleration strategies, which includes several goods and services such as financial technologies, asset management, and telecommunication services. Her expertise in apprehending investment details will be valuable inputs for this study.

Dr Anas, founder of Svara Institute, is an experienced economic policy analyst with a demonstrated history of working in academic, research industry and the government with skills in Statistics, Econometrics and Research based Economic Policy Formulation. A strong business development professional graduated from The Australian National University and Universitas Indonesia who published widely. She has been working with several development partners for Indonesia, Asian regional development institution and the government of Indonesia.
